Bejo Seeds Inc. held its first ever Virtual Open House on September 1, 2020. The virtual event gathered commercial growers, farm market growers, industry professionals and many more to the one day webinar that featured 13 different crop groups brought to you by Chelsey Lenczyk (Bejo Seeds Sales and Product Development for Packet and Catalog Trade) and Jan van der Heide ( Regional Market Manager for the Northeast U.S.). In addition to the crop videos, Q&A sessions were held and featured a sales representative from each region of the U.S.
Bejo is driven to provide sustainable cultivation methods and crops that deliver reliable yields and nutritious, healthy end products, so it wasn't a surprise that the end product needed to be tasted. For food enthusiasts, Karen Miltner prepared Bejo's favorite outdoor cooking recipes featuring purple sprouting broccoli, chinese cabbage, and carrots. Karen Miltner has been Bejo Seeds culinary consultant since 2009. She is a former food writer and newspaper reporter for Gannett whose career now caters to her other passion: bicycle touring. She is married to Bejo Seeds’ Geneva facility manager Dennis Ferlito.
