HIGH-QUALITY VEGETABLES: NOW AND IN THE FUTURE
Our mission is to contribute to the production of sufficient and healthy food. We support professional vegetable growers worldwide. We achieve this by developing and marketing high-quality vegetable seeds and varieties, ensuring growers' yield security for nutritious, high-quality vegetables now and in the future.
Through continuous investment in research, development, and collaboration, Bejo operates as an innovative international business, committed to long-term relationships. One of our core values is responsibility, driving sustainable steady growth while caring for people and nature. We’re constantly looking for ways to modernize, from novel breeding methods and seed technologies to new robotics, IT, uses of data, and marketing concepts. And we work to develop the vegetable varieties of tomorrow with patience, dedication and perseverance.

From the United States of America to Canada: ONE MISSION
Worldwide, we are a large family of some 2,200 people. We have operations on all continents. Over 75 talented colleagues work in the United States and Canada. A large part of our activities are in Oceano, California, where our main office is located. However, within the U.S. there are four different regions, operating throughout the entire country as well as Canada. This allows for a diverse set of knowledge to different growing conditions and climates, reaching from Alaska to Maine – and everywhere in between. In the U.S., we have a Seed Production/Processing facility in Pasco, WA; a Carrot Breeding and Production Research facility in Weiser, ID; a Short Day Onion Breeding facility in Arvin, CA; and a Sales Trialing Research facility in Geneva, NY.

CARE AND RESPECT FOR NATURE, PEOPLE AND THE ENVIRONMENT
Our expertise in organic agriculture spans over 25 years. We offer a large range of organic varieties and supply organic seeds to our customers. Furthermore, we engage in numerous global projects supporting smallholder farmers. Through initiatives like our international bee program and educational efforts in Guatemala, we contribute to the preservation of vital pollinators and the education of future farmers.
In the U.S., our bee program is working to develop a more sustainable pollination program for our seed crops resulting in healthier pollinators, healthier soils and healthier seeds to grow crops from. Utilizing ongoing research, we are identifying specific genetic groups of honey bees best suited for pollinating specific crops. We continue to select for natural tendencies for resistance and tolerance to common honey bee pests and disease, as well as studying honey bee nutrition from both supplemental and natural sources.
Our organic program provides valuable insights into sustainable growing techniques and seed cleaning technologies. Additionally, we prioritize creating a safe work environment that fosters long-term employee retention and professional growth. With continuously low employee turnover rates in all our companies, we strive to create a workplace where people feel valued.
